So I talked to some coworkers (who are RN's) and friends about JT's lab results and the doctor mentioning possibly removing wheat from his diet. They all said the same thing. If he has a wheat allergy wouldn't this show up sooner? And wouldn't he still have diarrhea and stomach pains? His stools are pretty much normal now and he doesn't complain about his stomach hurting all day like he use too.
What to do, what to do. I have asked JT if his stomach hurts after eating certain food (mostly those with wheat, like his bagels, peanut butter sandwiches, and noodles). Each time I listed one he said no his stomach did hurt after he ate those. He did mention that his stomach would hurt if he ate a lot of candy and I agreed with him.
The doctor said we should know pretty quickly if we remove wheat if the symptoms go away. But he no longer has symptoms! How are we to know if that's the problem when there's nothing to watch.
It's time like this I wish we knew the answer right away.
