Can we get a break? A break from sicknesses that is. Last night I woke up. I wasn't sure what woke me up and then I heard it. I couldn't quite tell what I heard and thought I made it up. Then I heard it again, the seal bark. TJ has a cough. I was worried. We needed to get up early to play handbells at church. I would have contemplated staying home with him even if we had to play but we already had 3 people who wouldn't be there today. Sigh. Luckily the cough wasn't constant.
We all woke up and he seemed fine minus the occasional cough. And he didn't have a fever. We also had a fun filled afternoon planned with his friend from daycare. He missed her birthday party a month ago because he was sick and I didn't want him to miss today too.
I put him down for nap early hoping he would get a good 2 hours in before we had to leave. A hour later I was folding clothes in my and TC's room when the door opened. A sleepy, tousled hair little boy with THE pinkest cheeks I've seen walked into the room. CRAP. I took his temp and the thermometer had a sad face and was flashing FEVER. Double crap.
Can he really have a break? With his stomach issues, and nonstop colds can we have a few months without being sick? A call to my friend, we rescheduled to next Saturday, and a call out to our friend A & B and they will watch TJ tomorrow so if whatever he has won't go around daycare.
Hopefully TC and I won't get this either. I can't miss anymore work.
