Eczema

As most know Little Man has eczema. The bad stuff is under control but his arms and tops of his legs are very dry and have red bumps. I have talked to his pediatrician about this and he recommended another lotion, Amlactin, to use and to change our detergent and bath soap. So we did. I even read that Omega 3 foods will help with dry skin. Nothing is working. His skin isn't getting better and it's frustrating having to stare at his bright red arms (compared to his pale back, stomach and legs) and remember that his primary doc says there's nothing else we can do. He wouldn't even do allergy testing.

As a mom this frustrates me. There's got to be something that can be done. His lotion isn't helping, the detergent isn't helping. I've tried long baths, short baths. Nothing is working. His hydrocortizone is helping the inside of his elbows but his Amlactin isn't doing a thing for his arms or top of his legs and this is the 2nd lotion we've tried. We are even getting rid of our cats as I read some allergic reactions are dry skin in kids. It's not confirmed but I'll do anything to have Little Man feel better.

So on Dec 12th Little Man will be seeing Dr. Rachel Hub and a resident (to by pass referral issues). I hope they can recommend some more things we can try.
