I can't believe I forgot

We received the formal application today along with some other paperwork. I can't believe I forgot how much paperwork there is. We also need physicals, background checks, and fingerprints. Luckily all we have to do for the background check is fill out this form. The fingerprints thankfully will happen a little further down the road.

I am kind of worried that we have to do the physicals before we had in our formal application. At the other agency we could do them later. I'm trying to get everything in so we can get in the July classes. I am trying to find a doctor closer to home and will need to call a new clinic to schedule my appointment. I'm sure the appointment will be a ways out. I'm going to call the agency and find out. I hope we can send the application in at least.

I think this is the hardest part of adoption, all the paperwork and making sure everything is filled out.

My other least favorite part is asking for references. I'm kind of embarrassing asking people to talk about how good you are and your not a serial killer. I have a couple friends who offered to write up something. Now I just need to find one more. The other thing is I know everyone is busy and hate to hound them but the agency needs them.

If we don't need the physicals yet and I can send in the application, I hope to mail them next week. Can't wait!
