When I was a little girl I use to 'play house'. You know; cook, have a baby (or 5), pretend to do laundry and everything was hunky dory.
No one tells a little girl how hard it can be to be a mom. The cooking, cleaning, scrubbing, laundry, a crying child, cooking, cleaning, scrubbing, laundry, a crying child. A 'day off' really isn't a day off.
Well today I had the 'perfect' mommy moment I always thought life would be.
Little Man had just woken up from a nap and asked to read his Thomas the Tank Engine book. Fine with me. I had a ton of laundry to put away so I told him to sit on the couch. He lays back on the pillow and reads his book while I folded a huge pile of clothes. Then he helped me put them away. Watching him lay there pointing out each thing in the book and read it to himself was priceless.
I love moments like that.

What aperfect moment.
How precious. Isn't it sweet when they try to help us? Kaiya's big thing has been to hand me my crutches, it's too cute when she tries to pick up both of them and totter around with them dangling above her!
