I am in desperate need for some casual shirts. I have been putting off clothes shopping because I'd rather buy something for Little Man. I've also been putting it off because I'm use to shopping in the Junior section at any store and their clothes are getting more and more slutty. Which makes looking for a simple comfortable top harder to find. I don't want something showing off my chest (or lack there of). I don't want short sleeves because it is winter and I get cold. I'm for comfort not style.
I decided today I better look for some shirts. It's starting to get cold out and I really should nip this in the bud. So Little Man and I went to JC Penney and I wandered in the Junior section trying not to cry out 'ANY ONE HEARD OF COTTON? LONG SLEEVES?' I gave up and started walking past the Petite section and found myself Oohing and Ahhing over the shirts.
I always thought of the Petite Section as the 'Old Lady' section. I always told myself that I would NEVER wear those because I want to wear the stylish top not something some old lady would wear. Now here I am a little less than 2 months away from my 30th birthday and I'm eagerly grabbing shirts (which by the way were by one get one for 99 cents!) to purchase. Does this make me old? (The fact I can't kneel on my knees probably does.) Does this make me one step closer to wearing a sweatshirt with some red robin on it for Christmas? Or some old lady flowers? I truly hope not.
I live for comfort and if that means I must dress 'like an old lady' then I guess I'm old. Hi, my name is Michelle and I'm getting old. Now...where did I put my glasses...
